Dear Avon Lake City Schools Community,

Due to the ongoing construction and the specific tying in of utility lines next week, the portion of Lear Road in front of the Middle School will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday, October 27th throughout the day. Please plan your commute times accordingly, and kindly exercise a touch more patience in this area on Tuesday during this partial lane closure. We continue to be excited for seasonal weather and temperatures in order to keep this project moving forward. Thank you for your continued support.

The Board of Education will be voting on the district calendar for the 2027-2028 school year in November, and the public review period is underway. You can view the draft calendar here. Each of the Avon Lake City Schools has a Parent Teacher/Staff Association (PTA) that is very active, and which works closely with the district, parents, and community of Avon Lake.

Please consider joining the PTA associated with the school that your child attends. If you have students in multiple buildings, it is best to join each building. Joining PTA is a great way to get involved and to help support the teachers, staff, students and community! For your convenience, below is a link to each school’s PTA membership.
