Principal's Message
Dear Students and Families,
We have a lot of important updates this week, so please review the following information carefully.
Testing Protocol Changes for Online Classes (Edgenuity)
We have updated our IP configuration for Edgenuity testing. Moving forward, test unlocks will automatically be bypassed at home and must be manually unlocked by a teacher on campus.
How does this change what weβve been doing?
At Home: Students can now move on in their classes without requesting a bypass when they reach a unit exam.
On Campus: Once on campus, classes will revert back to the exams that were automatically bypassed by the system, and students will need to take them. Students will have to be ready to take their exams when they come on campus.
Course Reports & Grade Updates
Your Course Report now reflects your Actual Grade, which includes all past-due or missing assignments calculated as zeros. Previously, the dashboard displayed your Overall Grade, which only calculated completed assignments and did not provide a full picture of academic standing.
If you are completely caught up in a class, your Actual Grade and Overall Grade will match.
If your Actual Grade is lower than your Overall Grade, it indicates that you have past-due assignments that need to be submitted to improve your score.
Attendance Deadline: Month 2
The second attendance month concludes this Friday, October 2nd. Students are required to achieve a minimum of 90% attendance (18 out of 19 days), which is earned through coursework completion. If you are currently behind, please use this week to get fully caught up!
Attendance Notification Letters
If a student does not meet the 90% attendance requirement by the end of this attendance month, an official Attendance Notification will be emailed to parents from me (the principal). This notification ensures compliance with legal requirements for independent study programs.
To remain eligible for independent study, students must satisfy all four of the following criteria:
Earn 90% attendance through consistent work completion.
Maintain at least 70% Mastery in all courses.
Attend all scheduled weekly on-campus progress meetings with their teacher.
Stay on track to earn 30 credits per semester.
With all that said, please focus on ensuring you are totally caught up in all your classes this week so you can earn full attendance!
We want you to be successful!! If you need help or have a question, please let us know!
Sincerely,
David Schlottman, Principal

New College & Career Coach: Noah Kelly
Required Safe-Riders Program for Bikes, e-Bikes and e-Scooters and Skateboards
Just so you know, all students riding either an eBike or eScooter or skateboard to school must go through a safety training and registration process. This process also includes ALL "rides"...regardless of whether they're powered by a BATTERY or NOT!
There will be a short 40-minute online course to take, and then your eBike or eScooter or skateboard will be registered with TVUSD by use of a βregistration stickerβ provided at the school.
The overarching goal here is to help students develop safe riding/biking skills so they can get to school as safely as possible!
Please click the link below to begin your training course IF YOU WILL BE RIDING an eBike or eScooter or skateboard to school this year!
Counselor Corner
Dear Students and Families,
