To the Lakes Family,
The start of every school school year brings so many opportunities with new classes, teachers, friends, and experiences. It's a fresh start and a blank slate! I am genuinely excited to greet all of our students in these coming days and to support their individual paths to success. Our goal at LCHS is for every student to SOAR!
Students and families, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions throughout the school year. We are here to support all of you! The best way to resolve questions or concerns is for students to start with their teacher, counselor, or coach. This strengthens relationships, encourages self-advocacy, and builds resilience. Be sure to contact the adult directly involved with the situation: academics - teacher or department chair, social / emotional - counselor, or extracurriculars - coach sponsor. It is important to be specific and respectful with your inquiry and to wait for two working days for a response. If you are not sure who to call, you can always connect with our main office at 847-838-7100. They will make sure to connect you with the right person.
- Our teachers are preparing engaging experiences for students every day! To make the best learning environment for all students, it is a classroom expectation that cellphones and AI wearables (e.g., smart glasses, AI earbuds, smartwatches, AI pins) must be powered off, out of sight, and in the designated classroom pouch unless authorized by the teacher. Also note, it is prohibited to capture or transmit images, audio, or video of any individual without their consent. This includes recording in private spaces such as restrooms or locker rooms.
- Student schedules will be viewable in Infinite Campus to all registered students on on Monday, August 10th. Students are welcome to come into the building to find their classrooms and walk their schedules during business hours before the first day of school which is Tuesday, August 18th! We just ask that you do not interrupt any meetings or activities that might be happening in the building.
This year is going to be amazing because of the incredible students, staff, families, and Eagle community! I can't wait to get started!

Did you order a 2025-26 yearbook? Distribution will be Friday, August 7th from 12:00 - 3:00 and Monday, August 10th from 2:00-5:00. Distribution will be in the main foyer. Senior books not picked up will be in the front office after the 10th. Unclaimed underclass books will be distributed to students by the end of the first week of school.
