Hello RR Eagle Families! We are looking to host our 2026 Family Literacy Night, but we cannot do this without YOU!!! One station for families to visit is SNACKS!!! If you'd like to make a donation of snacks, please deliver them to the Ronald Reagan Office by Tuesday, April 28th at 4:00pm.
Thank you for considering donating snacks to make our literacy night a success!
Here's the link to sign up for snacks.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Kate Stinson at Katherine.Stinson@nbexcellence.org. Thanks so much!
Ticks.
It's tick season in Wisconsin, and we have had reports of parents finding a tick on their child after school. As a result, we have instructed our staff to do their best to keep students from areas with tall grass, bushes, and trees where ticks frequently can be found, for both learning experiences and at recess.
As students spend time outside this spring during and after the school day, we encourage you to check them (or have them check themselves) for ticks. Ticks like to hide in between toes, in belly buttons, on one's scalp, etc.
Though teachers are aware of this issue, please know that staff are only able to remove a tick if it is easily brushed off. If that's not possible, a parent will be notified.
DID YOU KNOW??
Attendance
In the state of Wisconsin, students are allowed to miss up to 10 days of school for any reason and after that any additional days missed must be excused by a doctor or they will be marked truant.
Excused - absences are excused if a parent/guardian communicates with the school office through a phone call, email or the absence request process in Infinite Campus
Unexcused - only happens if the school office doesn't hear anything from a parent/guardian
Exempt - if you turn in a note following a doctor's appointment with your student's name and date/time of the appointment the absence will be medically excused and not count against the attendance record. There is never a requirement by us to take your child to the doctor/dentist/ortho/therapist, but if you do, we can exempt the absence. This simply means the absences don't count against attendance. If you have prior appointments, please email jennifer.macakanja@nbexcellence.org a screenshot or bring in a doctor's note and the absence(s) can be changed to exempt. Field trips, funerals and occasionally the weather are automatically counted as exempt.
{REPEAT -- BUT STILL IMPORTANT!}
2026-2027 Family Input Form
Dear K4-5 Eagle Families,
It is that time of year again when we begin to look ahead to next year. Creating class lists is a challenging task. We look at individual academic needs, group dynamics, gender breakdowns, behavior needs, emotional supports, and more!
If you feel that there is specific information you would like us to be aware of when deciding class placement of your child for next year, please fill out this form. This form is OPTIONAL. We take the placement process very seriously and reflect on a variety of factors when deciding the best placement for students. However, this is NOT an opportunity to request specific teachers. Please also know that your input will be reviewed, but we cannot guarantee that all input will be able to be acted upon.
Staff will determine the best placement for all students. We will create initial drafts in May that will be finalized and shared with families in August.
In order for your input to be considered, this form must be completed by Friday, May 1, 2026. If you are interested in sharing input for multiple children, please fill out a separate form for each child.
Thank you for your continued home support of Ronald Reagan!
Yours In Learning,
Angela Patterson, principal
Matt Stich, associate principal

Fine Arts Night for Kindergarten
Dear Reagan Kindergarten Families,
Wednesday, May 6th Ronald Reagan Kindergarteners will present their Fine Arts Night. Students will present “We’re Making Music” in the gym beginning at 6:30pm. Doors to the gym will open at 6pm. All kindergarten students should report to the library at 6:15pm that evening.
In addition to the musical program that evening, student artwork will be on display in the hallways around the art room. Please stop by before or after the performance to view your child’s artwork.
Because performance and presentation are an important part of the fine arts curriculum, all students are expected to participate. If your child will not be able to participate, please contact Mrs. Schilling or Mr. Winders no later than Mon., April 13th.
All students should wear dress clothes, please.
Questions? Please contact Mrs. Schilling at Christina.Schilling@nbexcellence.org or Mr. Winders at Nicholas.Winders@nbexcellence.org.
We look forward to sharing the students’ performance with you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Schilling and Mr. Winders
