Biddeford Center of Technology
February 11, 2026
Dear Parents, Students, and Families,
As families begin planning for the upcoming school year, we encourage students and parents to consider the unique opportunities offered at our Center. A career and technical high school allows students to explore interests, build real-world skills, and gain clarity about their future—while still meeting graduation requirements at their sending high school.
For students, CTE offers:
Hands-on, project-based learning that brings academics to life, increases confidence and motivation
Early exposure to high-demand careers, helping students discover what they enjoy and do well
Industry-aligned skills and certifications that create advantages after graduation
Stronger engagement and confidence by learning in an environment designed for applied learning
- A head start on college and careers, including opportunities for dual enrollment, internships, and work-based learning
For parents, CTE provides reassurance and value:
Clear pathways after high school, whether students pursue college, employment, apprenticeships, or military service
Informed decision-making, allowing students to explore careers before committing time and money after graduation
Students who are more motivated and focused, because they see the purpose behind their learning
Preparation for a changing workforce, with skills that are transferable and in demand.
Choosing a career and technical program is not about limiting options—it’s about expanding them. CTE helps students graduate with skills, experience, and confidence, ready to take their next step. We invite you to learn more about our programs. Please contact us anytime for a meeting or tour to discuss what may be a good fit for your child.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us or your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns at 207-282-1501.
Sincerely,
Paulette Bonneau
Director
Center of Technology Enrollment
Now is the time to consider enrolling your child in the various programs at the Biddeford Regional Center of Technology (COT). If your child is interested in career and technical education opportunities, the COT is now scheduling program visits and accepting applications for the 2026-2027 School Year. Space is limited, so we encourage you to talk with your child about the options available and have them schedule an appointment with their guidance counselor.

Expanding Opportunities
Learning Thru Internship
It’s inspiring to see how much BRCOT Introduction to Education students are learning through hands-on internships with the dedicated and talented mentor teachers at Jameson Elementary School. Their enthusiasm and excitement are contagious, and the incredible support from the Jameson Elementary staff is truly appreciated.
Working Together With Our Community Partners
Machining I+II welcomed Pratt & Whitney to promote their Manufacturing Operator Apprenticeship program. BRCOT Alum Brennan Amsden ’25 joined to share his experiences so far in the apprenticeship and how much the opportunity has benefited him since graduation. For more information on apprenticeship and work-related opportunities, make sure to reach out to BRCOT and our Career Pathways Office!
