Front Doors

Hey parents! I just wanted to send this reminder once more. ALL visitors must ring the doorbell and be buzzed in individually by office staff so we can verify that each person is authorized to enter the building. Please do not open or hold the school doors for other visitors, even as a courtesy. We know it's hard to let the door close in front of someone waiting, but this procedure is in place for the safety of all students. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep our school safe and secure!

Technology can be a great learning tool, but finding a healthy balance is important for our children's growing brains! This week, try swapping a little screen time for activities that help your child learn, grow, and connect!

📵 Create screen-free zones. Put screens away during meals, family conversations, and bedtime routines.

🎲 Trade screens for games! Board games, puzzles, building blocks, and card games help children develop problem-solving skills, patience, and critical thinking.

These TWO are especially important...

🌳 Get moving! Encourage outdoor play, bike rides, walks, or even a family dance party. Physical activity supports attention, mood, and overall well-being.

😴 Protect bedtime! Turn off screens at least 30-60 minutes before bed and establish a consistent bedtime routine to help your child get the rest they need.

🐻 BEAR-y Helpful Reminder: You don't have to eliminate screens completely! Small changes can make a BIG difference. Even replacing 20 minutes of screen time with reading, playing, or talking together can create meaningful opportunities for learning and connection!
