News & Information for Tiger Families
Letter from the Principal
Dear Tiger Families,
This Sunday, September 21st, is a busy and blessed day at St. Teresa! We hope you join us for 11:00 AM Mass at St. Teresa Church as we pray for our 8th graders during their Rite of Enrollment as they prepare for Confirmation. During this Mass, we will also honor our teachers for Catechetical Sunday, and it is Children’s Mass, so bring the whole family to celebrate together.
Monday, September 22nd, marks the beginning of IOWA testing for students in 2nd – 8th grade. To help your child do their best, here are some ways to prepare:
-
Encourage a good night’s sleep – Aim for 8–10 hours to help focus and retain information.
-
Provide a healthy breakfast – A balanced meal with protein and complex carbs fuels the brain.
-
Arrive at school on time – Punctuality helps students start the day calmly and prepared.
-
Limit screen time the night before – Reduces distractions and promotes rest.
-
Stay positive and encouraging – Confidence matters; remind them to do their best.
-
Pack necessary materials – Ensure pencils, erasers, and any approved items are ready the night before.
-
Encourage a calm morning routine – Planning ahead prevents stress and rushing.
With your support, we can help our students shine and feel confident during IOWA testing!
As always, we thank you for sharing your student with us. We appreciate your trust, support, and partnership. TIGERS LEAD THE WAY!
Sincerely,
Nicole Green
Principal

October is the Month of the Holy Rosary, a devotion rooted in the Church’s gratitude for Mary’s intercession. Throughout this month, Catholics are invited to pray the Rosary more faithfully, drawing closer to Christ through Mary and seeking peace, strength, and renewal for our lives, families, and parishes. Use the HALLOW app as a way to foster a deeper love for the Rosary and inspire hearts to embrace its timeless power.
As a parent, do you desire to lead your family closer to God, but sometimes struggle to know where to start? Do you personally experience an internal longing to know God more deeply? If yes, then reading this may really bless you. Nick, our school's Hallow Representative, recorded a 2 minute video inviting us into something special. Watch the video to find out more about our partnership and what's available to you!

Once a month at the 11:00 AM Mass at St. Teresa Church, we celebrate our Children and Youth Mass.
During this special liturgy, the young members of our parish are invited to take part in the ministries of the Mass—serving as greeters, ushers, readers, and gift bearers.
Our next Children and Youth Mass will be held on Sunday, September 21st at 11:00 AM. We encourage all families to mark their calendars and join us for this joyful celebration.
If your child would like to participate, please use the sign-up links below to select a ministry role.

Hello St Teresa
The golf outing will be held on Saturday October 4th @ 1:00 at Tamarack golf course. Last year we partnered with Blessed Sacrament and QP that made for an awesome day. We had a full tournament and beautiful weather. I was encouraged that each school carried their own weight on teams and sponsorships; allowing each school to make significantly more for their athletic departments.
Please take the opportunity to participate by playing and or sponsoring. Please note every dollar donated by St Teresa families will come back to us.
Feel free to contact me!
