- The homeroom with the highest total amount of donations through Wednesday night, one 7th and one 8th, will get doughnuts on Friday.
- The grade level with the highest number of registrations through Wednesday night will earn "sit where you want at lunch," date to be determined by administration.
- The raffle for the big prizes will be at the end of the fundraiser. Remember, simply registering enters your child into the grand prize drawing for lunch off campus with three friends.

Hip Hop Club
Email our United Way after school organizers, Patty Schmid or Tiffany Wooten, if your child would be interested in knowing more about this club and attending an interest meeting during school. We will also have a sign up sheet for students in the lobby this week.
Resilience on the River
In October, the WNC Resilience Project partnered with Mountain True and Buncombe County’s Pack Memorial Library to host Resilience on the River—a floating design sprint along the Asheville stretch of the French Broad. Through protocols like I Used to Think / Now I Think, educators named powerful shifts in mindset, recognizing how literacy, science, and community engagement can merge through place-based learning. One of our own, 7th grade ELA teacher Beth Lane, participated in this project. Special thanks to Morgan Pittman, Instructional Designer and Curriculum Specialist at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, who co-facilitated the session and documented the experience through her notes and photography. Participants from four WNC school districts left with renewed energy, new cross-district connections, and clear commitments to bring interdisciplinary, community-rooted projects back to their schools.
Donations Appreciated to Our Staff Lounge
Smoky Mountain Toy Run
Our school, and all BCS schools, are drop off locations for TOYS for the annual Smoky Mountain Toy Run. A donation to support this cause is a great way to log in an act of kindness in our PTO fundraiser. Donations can be made through the month of November.
