As we continue to adjust our membership list this fall our apologies if this email has reached you in error. If that's the case please let us know and we'll be sure to remove you from the list.

Hello IEA,

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and an easy start to the school year last week! This year you can expect to receive a monthly newsletter with updates on any recent actions, info to pass along from MTA/NEA, IEA committee work, important reminders, and a list of upcoming dates for meetings or contractual deadlines. Please take a few minutes to read them over when I send them.

I wish you well as we start another school year together!

Payroll Payroll

I am hopeful this year will not be riddled with payroll errors like last year. However, after all the issues throughout the entire school year last year we need to keep a watchful eye. I cannot stress enough how important it is for you to check every paystub on Employee Forward under the Pay History tab. If you need any help logging in please contact Laura Hillery.

What does it mean to "check your check"?

  • Salary Employee Pay Stub - Teacher Salary x Your Pay Schedule (26 or 22) should equal your salary. Please refer to the salary schedule listed in the contract.
  • Hourly Employee Pay Stub - hourly rate should match rate listed in the contract (ESP, Para) and hours should match time worked on your timecard.
  • All Employees - check for any paid time off to ensure the correct type and amount of time was deducted for that period (if used). This can also be seen on the Accrued tab.
  • All Employees - check for deductions (union dues, retirement, health insurance)
  • Here are some visuals I made to help

If you find an error send an email to Lauren Virgilio our new payroll coordinator. If an error is not fixed, you receive an unexpected response from the district, errors happen repeatedly, or you hear of a widespread issue please let me know (ieapresident.email@gmail.com).
