Principal's Message Principal's Message

Good afternoon,

I hope the first full week of 2026 has treated you well. Walking through the hallways this week, it has been wonderful to see our students settle back into their routines. While the early January mornings can be a bit chilly, windy, and rainy, the energy inside our classrooms is heating up as we dive into new units and projects.

NWEA MAP scores from the Winter session are complete. We will be sending scores to families electronically in the upcoming week. If you do not receive your student's report by Friday, January 16th, please email eloerakker@fsd79.org.

Please also take time to review the Fremont School District 79 Family Handbook for illness and return to school following illness. Lake County is currently experiencing increasing flu activity. Please see some important information from the Lake County Health Department in English and Spanish regarding influenza.

Morning Announcements

Warm Regards,

Emily Loerakker

Fremont MS Principal
