Fine Arts Center
Dear Parents,
You are cordially invited to attend an informational session for parents of prospective students interested in applying to the Fine Arts Center for the 2026-2027 school year. This event is designed specifically for parents to learn more about our programs and gain insight into the opportunities available for students at the Fine Arts Center. We will cover the application and audition process so that families know what to expect.
Please note:
- Sign up for your spot here - https://shorturl.at/C6eab.
- Due to seating limitations only 2 parents per family can attend.
- If both parents are attending, both must sign up individually for a spot. This will allow us to accurately account for seating.
- This session is for 8th-11th grade parents only. Students should not attend.
- If the session is full, you can watch the program at the following link - https://www.youtube.com/@fineartscentergoogleacct1300/streams
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing what makes the Fine Arts Center an exceptional place for young artists to learn and grow.
Sincerely,
The Fine Arts Center Administration Team

WHAT WE DO
Students at the Fine Arts Center are interested in the arts and wish to take an intensive pre-professional program of study. Students apply and are selected on the basis of skill, interest, and commitment to their discipline. 91.5% of the students go on to higher education. Each graduating class of Fine Arts Center students has averaged over $10 million in scholarship offers in recent years.
Fine Arts Center classes offer advanced comprehensive arts instruction in the areas of architecture, theatre, dance, visual arts, music, creative writing, or filmmaking. Classes at the Fine Arts Center are in session five days a week, in the morning or afternoon, and students receive academic instruction from their home high school.
Greenville County School District students may attend the Fine Arts Center tuition free. We also offer reliable transportation to and from every GCS high school. We actively work to expand access to arts education for students who live in communities where exposure and resources are limited. We raise funds through our nonprofit, the Fine Arts Center Partners, that go directly to students within our community and cover anything from class fees to field trip expenses.

Greenville County Schools Attendance Updates
students must present a written excuse, signed by a parent/legal guardian or a medical professional, for all absences within 3 days of the student’s return to school. The written excuse should include the reason for and the date of absence. Without a valid written excuse, the absence will be recorded as unlawful. Absences in excess of 10 days will not be considered excused with a parent/guardian note unless accompanied by official medical documentation or approved by the principal.
Cell Phone & Personal Electronic Device (PED) Policy
Cell phones shall not be accessible, visible, or in use at any time while inside the classroom or hallways.
Cell phones may NOT be used during morning holding from 7:30-8:05 in the cafeteria or the gym.
Cell phones are not to be accessed during transitions and restroom breaks.
Fisher Middle ID Policy 25-26
Identification Cards
Fisher Middle School 2025-2026
All students provided 1 free identification card and 1 lanyard at the beginning of the school year or upon initial arrival at the school
Charge $5 for New ID and lanyard
After each reprint, if a student does not have money to pay for ID, the student’s account will be charged.
Each time a student is charged, the student will also be issued a step on the PJFMS discipline ladder. Administration will then notify the student and parent of the step and the consequences associated with the step
Minor Discipline Ladder
Minor Discipline Ladder System
Click the link below to learn more about how minor discipline issues will be recorded, communicated and addressed this school year. This system promotes student accountability. Students will be responsible for their actions and behaviors. This allows all faculty and staff to be on the same page. When we are all speaking the same language it reduces frustration among and between the staff. The ultimate goal is to foster a respectful and supportive environment where all students can learn and be successful.
Parent Backpack
Parents are strongly encouraged to create a Backpack account for their children. Greenville County Schools uses Backpack to provide parents with the most recent news and information about our schools. The Backpack for Parents account also provides parents, guardians, or contacts with a central place to sign in to:
- View their student's information including demographics, attendance, classes, grades, lunch balances, and test scores
- Apply or register their student to Special Focus schools and programs (Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, etc.)
- Receive alerts and notifications regarding their students
- View their student's school and contact information
- Manage parent and contact information for their students

EVOLV
EVOLV
The EVOLV Detection System is used district-wide as a part of Greenville County Schools collective safety efforts. These are used primarily for weapons detection. All schools partner with the GCS Security Department as well as local law enforcement agencies. As parents you can expect that we will run EVOLV a minimum of once per week but more often we will run screens multiple times per week. These screener sessions will remain completely random and will always be unannounced. We will often conduct an EVOLV Intake which is conducted as students enter the building before school at all student entrances. During an intake students should remove their Chromebooks and carry it in separate from their backpack.
Please know that school administration maintains regular contact with GCS Security in our continued efforts to ensure school safety.
