Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zone – A Friendly Reminder
To help ensure a safe and smooth drop-off and pick-up experience for all families, we kindly remind parents that the designated drop-off and pick-up zone extends along the entire sidewalk in front of the school and is intended for quick drop-offs and pick-ups only.
We have noticed that some vehicles remain parked in this area while parents wait outside with their children or wait for their children to come out of the school. Unfortunately, this creates unnecessary congestion and prevents other families from safely and efficiently accessing the area.
If you wish to stay outside with your child in the morning or wait for your child at dismissal, we kindly ask that you park along the street rather than in the designated drop-off and pick-up zone.
We sincerely ask for your cooperation and understanding in keeping this area clear and traffic moving. By working together, we can reduce congestion, improve safety, and ensure that arrival and dismissal times run smoothly for all families.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us keep our EPK community safe!
Bienvenue à Mme Jannat - Monitrice de STEM
We’re pleased to welcome Mme Jannat El Adouli as our STEM monitrice at École Père Kenneth Kearns! Jannat is studying science and education at Campus Saint-Jean and is fluent in French and English.
Mme Jannat will be part of the EPK family every Monday morning, all day Thursday and Friday morning through March. We’re pleased to share that every classroom, including our Pre-K, will be included in her schedule. She will work with students on hands-on STEM activities that encourage them to explore, create and learn. Our students are already looking forward to learning with her. Please join us in welcoming Mme Jannat to our school community!

Growing Empathy at EPK – Introducing Roots of Empathy!
We are excited to introduce Roots of Empathy, an award-winning program that helps children develop empathy, kindness, emotional awareness, and positive relationships.
At the heart of this unique program is a very special teacher — a baby! We are delighted to welcome bébé Mack and his mom, who will be joining our grade 1B for approximately nine visits throughout the school year. Our school's Family Wellness Worker, Mme Serena, is the trained Roots of Empathy instructor who will guide students through this meaningful learning experience.
Through their interactions with bébé Mack, students will observe his growth and development while learning to recognize emotions, understand the feelings of others, and appreciate the importance of caring relationships. These experiences help children develop compassion, respect, and a stronger sense of belonging.
Roots of Empathy reminds us that even our youngest teachers can inspire some of life's most important lessons! We are grateful to bébé Mack and his mother for becoming part of our EPK learning community and helping us nurture a school culture where kindness and empathy flourish.
