Chromebook Safety & Care

LOST DEVICES

We are receiving a large number of tickets from school sites and from students stating students have lost their devices. Chromebooks range in cost from $389 to $758. We understand that devices may have been misplaced over the summer, but please make every effort to locate lost devices before submitting a ticket for device replacement.

Once a device has been reported lost or stolen, it will be locked and unusable.

SAFETY

Keep devices secure. Do not leave them in an area that isn't secure, such as on a table at school during lunchtime or in a car visible to anyone who looks inside.
Only use your device, not another student's device.
Sign out of your device when you aren't using it.
Keep passwords in a SECRET location and do not share your password with others.

BASIC CARE

Keep food and drinks away from devices
Carry devices with both hands and never run with a device.
Keep your device charged.
Turn Chromebook devices off at regular intervals to receive proper updates.
