Principal's Message

Happy Friday Cougar Families!

Building on the gains we our community achieved in the 2025-26 school year, we will continue to work together with parents to promote positive attendance and decrease Chronic Absenteeism. Students are considered chronically absent when they are absent for more than 10% of the school days. Part of our Tier I strategies to promote positive attendance is to share with you how important student presence is to the learning process, how much we miss students when they are gone, and provide in advance all the information you need to know when your student is absent. Please bookmark this link as a reference for what to do when your student is absent.

Supporting positive attendance: Beginning this year, students are able to clear absences by attending Beyond the Bell Tutoring (BTB). Every 4 hours of BTB clears one day of absence. Cougariffic Attendance Awards will continue every quarter - awarding a Crumbl cookie to every student with no tardies, no all-day absences, and who used the attendance office for any excused late arrivals or early departures.

Please join us tonight at 7:00 PM at Cougar Stadium as we take on The Cavers of San Diego High School.

Rah! Rah! Cougars!

Dr. Parr

Drive Safe - the Cougar Way

Friendly reminder to please drive cautiously when entering and exiting campus. Our Campus Supervisors are here to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently, and we appreciate your cooperation in following all directions from security personnel. When approaching the school from east Campo Road, please do not drive on the shoulder and allow vehicles to merge into the right-turn lane just before the school entrance. When waiting in traffic lines, please “close the gap” so we can accommodate as many vehicles as possible entering and exiting campus. Please also note that vehicle access at the back of the school is not available during the school day. Thank you for your patience and partnership in keeping our campus safe.
