FELICITA FAMILY NEWS
Week of October 20, 2024
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE π
π Hello Bobcat Families,
Thank you to the families who participated in the first step of the Felicita ReDesign process pictured below. It was great to sit and listen to your hopes and dreams for our students and our school.
At this meeting, I also got to announce that Felicita won this month's district-wide attendance challenge. Students across the district submitted posters that embodied our motto "Every Day Counts". One of our very own Felicita Bobcats, Miss Daniela was the winner! π Her drawing was made into a giant poster and on behalf of her, our school was awarded the giant trophy you see in the picture below! Way to go Daniela! We are all so proud of you! π At this meeting, I got to present her poster and trophy to her mom, it was very special
Have a great week everyone!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS β
Help us reach our attendance goal of 94% average daily attendance!
Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.
Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:
Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.
Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.
Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.
School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
Congrats to all the attendance winners with the highest attendance last week!
