Dear Families,
We ended a great week with a very exciting pep rally to kick off the Boosterthon Fun Run! Our students were extremely enthusiastic and can’t wait to run on the big day! The crowd favorite was choosing the “Principal’s Challenge” - a dare I have to complete if we hit our fundraising goal. Surprisingly the crowd did not like my idea of rewarding them with extra homework, and instead chose the “Duct Tape Challenge”...so stay tuned for updates as to if/when I will be duct taped to a wall! It should be entertaining and hilarious for all (students and staff), and frightening and sticky for some (me). Here are some important updates for the weeks ahead:
STEM Conference for Girls in Grade 4 - 8 - Registration deadline extended! Chapman Middle School, Saturday, October 28th from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. 20 Interactive Workshops! Workshop Offerings
Register online —choose your workshops and fill out Payment Form - return it with payment to your school’s office. Registration Deadline: Monday, October 23rd
Join the New England Wildlife Center for the Night of 1000 Faces on October 27th and 28th from 6:30 -8:00 pm. Info can be found here: Night of 1000 Faces
Volunteers needed! Join us on Saturday, October 28th as we refresh the painting on our recess hard-top area! No artistic skills are required, we promise! Volunteers in the morning, afternoon, or even the whole day would be a huge help. We hope to see you there!
Booster Fun Run Update: This year, our school is raising funds for our future playground and enrichment. Thank you to all our students/families who registered for Boosterthon early! We have already raised $7550 for our playground! We had a record number of students register early so it was tough competition for the "Name the Circle" raffle. However, with the help of an online random wheel of fortune our winner is Willow V. from Mr. C’s class! Congratulations to Willow! Our goal is to raise $18,000, and, if you’d like to, we are inviting YOU to help!
Here’s how you can support Wessagusset:

Additional Fun Run Info:
Students can wear costumes to school if they choose, but please make sure it is something they can run in comfortably. When planning a costume, please remember that our students have different ‘spookiness enjoyment levels’. Masks and/or props should stay at home. Thank you for your help with this!
