Greetings, Warrior Families!

It has been a busy 4-day week with organizations on campus as we head towards the Thanksgiving Holiday. The hard work that the students put into their organizations is what makes PHS great, and is something that all Pieper stakeholders can be proud of. The enthusiasm not only represents the sweat and tears of the students, but it also represents the hours of work and dedication from the staff. The ability to 'Rise Up' is not something that will fade away upon graduation from high school, but it is something that will resonate throughout our entire lives.

I would like to once again congratulate the Band of Warriors on an incredible performance at the UIL State Marching Band Championships!Thank you to our Directors Mr. Berry, Ms. Connor, Mr. Lowe, and Mr Arroyo for your incredible leadership of our students. To reach the UIL State Marching contest as a 3rd year program is an incredible accomplishment!

Lastly, we had our annual Veteran's Day program in the Warrior Arena due to our forecasted wet weather. Our joint program with Pieper High School and Pieper Ranch Middle School Students was a beautiful way to honor our Veterans. Thank you to all who attended, and thank you to all who have served. Our gratitude is endless!

The Counseling Department would like to congratulate Mrs. Misty Cantrell for being awarded the Ultimate Warrior Award for the month of October 2023. Mrs. Cantrell works with all levels of students and has been assisting our seniors recently with college applications and scholarships. Her career center is always filled with students that she is assisting along with coordinating college, career, and military advisors and recruiters to campus for our students. Students are grateful for all of her guidance and willingness to help them!

The counselors recently completed a guidance lesson about healthy stress management with the entire Junior class. They discussed what stress is, how it affects your body, and healthy/unhealthy coping strategies. Students practiced breathing methods and even did some coloring! Ask your child what stress is and what a healthy coping strategy is to start a conversation with them. Below is a link for more information on stress and how you can help your child.
