Hello TVMS families,

I hope you are enjoying summer and have had an opportunity to relax. It is almost time for us to welcome our Timberwolves back to an exciting and productive new school year. Below are some important dates and information to help you prepare for the 2025-26 school year.

Monday, August 25-- First day of school!

Thursday, September 4-- Back to School Night, 6:30 PM

We are excited to welcome you to TVMS and help you get ready for a fantastic year ahead!

• For 6th graders and students new to our school
• Students will have an opportunity to meet teachers and visit classes
• Parents will receive important information about the upcoming school year

Come out and meet the TVMS staff, enjoy some music, snacks, games and activities and learn about local programs available.

Food trucks will be on site with food for purchase.

We are excited to get ready for the start of a new school year! Our staff will be returning on Thursday, August 14th and will be working hard to prepare for our Timberwolves. The school administration team would like to provide a welcome back breakfast for our staff to enjoy on their first morning back, as well as fun raffles throughout the preparation week and we need your support. If you are able to contribute anything from the sign-up, it would be greatly appreciated.

Corded Headphones for academic use

In addition to the linked school supply list, students will need to bring a pair of headphones with a cord to plug into their Chromebooks. Students are not permitted to use AirPods and other wireless ear buds in an effort to eliminate cell phone use and distractions. Classrooms will also have headphones for students to borrow if they do not bring their own.

HCPSS requires a new medication order form each school year, dated on or after July 1st, for all medications, including both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Over-the-counter medications must be received by the health room in new, unopened containers and be clearly labeled with the student’s name. The links to the order forms are below:

Effective the first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year, 1 dose of Tdap vaccine and 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) are required by the state of Maryland for all students entering grade 7. Many students may have already received these immunizations, but the Health Room may not have the updated immunization record. Please contact your student’s doctor and send or fax an updated copy of your student’s immunizations to the Health Room or schedule an appointment to have your student receive these immunizations. Our fax number is 443-973-5510. The Health Department provides immunization opportunities for kids who are not up-to-date on school-required vaccinations. Call the Health Department at 410-313-7500 for more information and to schedule a vaccination appointment for your child.

Update your family information for the new school year. It is mandatory that all parents/ guardians verify and/ or update emergency information for each child each school year. Updating this information provides us with the most current emergency contact information, and also ensures that you are receiving important information and updates for HCPSS and TVMS.
