Welcome to WSDA message for new students and families

Welcome and thank you for choosing Wenatchee School District Welcome and thank you for choosing Wenatchee School District

Whether you are new to our community or simply adding a new student to our family, I want you to know that your child's arrival matters to us.

Not as a number or an enrollment figure but as an individual. Someone who will spend a significant part of their childhood in our care, and whose success we take personally. I take it personally.

From the moment a child walks through the doors of one of our early learning programs to the day they cross the graduation stage, we are committed to an experience that is safe, welcoming, and full of possibility. In our elementary schools, we build the foundation every child needs: literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and a love of learning. In middle school, we walk alongside students through one of the most important transitions of their lives. And by high school, the possibilities open up with career-connected learning, college preparation, athletics, performing arts, and so much more designed to help every student find their path and pursue it with confidence.

Safe and healthy learning environments are the foundation of everything we do from our youngest learners to our graduating seniors ready for their futures. That is why Wenatchee School District has placed a bond measure on the November 3, 2026 ballot that, if approved by voters, would support safe and healthy schools at every level of our district. I encourage you to learn more at wenatcheeschools.org/bond.

What I ask of you is simple: partnership.

Talk to your child's teacher. Attend school events. Show up for your student and let us show up alongside you. I also encourage every family to be an active and informed part of our community, including the decisions that shape our schools. The decisions made at the ballot box directly affect the resources available to your child every single day. Being part of this community means having a voice in those decisions, so please make sure you are registered to vote and stay informed about the issues facing our district. Our schools are only as strong as the community that supports them, and you are now part of that community.

We are honored to have your family as part of the WSD family.

Superintendent, Wenatchee School District
