A View To Cole Drive

Thank you to all the student and family volunteers who joined us on January 25 to help clean the Garner Creek Bioretention area. Parkview is fortunate to have this space as an outdoor classroom, and thanks to the collaboration with Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and the Parkview Environmental Club, it will soon be ready for teachers to utilize again. The Garner Creek Project, initiated in 2018 in partnership with Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and Parkview High School, aims to restore the Garner Creek area and manage stormwater runoff. This project features a grass channel, a constructed wetland, and three bioretention areas, all located right outside our door at Parkview High School. If you intend to visit this area, we kindly request that you show respect for the native plants and wildlife and leave no trace behind.

Educational Effectiveness (EES) – Family Survey Educational Effectiveness (EES) – Family Survey

The EES Family Survey (opens Feb. 3) asks questions about families’ experiences with research-based characteristics of high-performing schools including: collaboration, communication, goals, leadership, standards, environment, teaching and learning, and involvement. Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families and staff members about their school experience. The district will once again give the Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) to get feedback on nine Characteristics of High-Performing schools.

Families will receive a ParentSquare message with the anonymous link.
