February 2025
A Celebration of Black History and Love
February is a month of reflection, celebration, and appreciation. As we honor Black History Month, we recognize the achievements, resilience, and contributions of Black leaders who have shaped history and continue to inspire future generations. This month is also about love and community, reminding us to uplift and support one another in the work we do every day.
Let’s continue to embrace rigor, relationships, and results as we move forward in the third quarter—starting strong and finishing even stronger! 💙❤️ #SEEDStrong
Happy Sweet 16 Mrs. Robinson
This February 14th, we proudly celebrate Joann Chandler Robinson’s incredible 16-year anniversary at the SEED School of Maryland! As SEED’s longest-serving leader, Joann has played a vital role in shaping our school community since its doors opened in 2008.
Throughout her time at SEED, Joann has worn many hats, bringing her dedication, leadership, and wealth of historical knowledge to every role she’s held. She currently oversees administration, facilities, transition monitors, security, our cafeteria staff and so much more, ensuring that our school runs smoothly and efficiently. Beyond her official duties, Joann is a mentor, a leader, and a source of wisdom for so many of us.
Her deep connection to SEED runs even deeper—her son, Isaiah Robinson, was a proud member of SEED’s first graduating class. Joann’s unwavering commitment to our mission and community is truly inspiring.
Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Robinson and thanking her for 16 years of dedication, leadership, and love for SEED. Happy Sweet 16, Mrs. Robinson! 🎉💙

This is a friendly reminder of our business casual dress code at SEED School of Maryland. Our standard dress policy applies during the workweek to ensure we consistently present a professional image, as we are role models for our students who are required to be in full uniform daily.
We also want to highlight our Dress Down Sundays and Fridays. On these days, you have the option to wear a SEED or College t-shirt or sweatshirt paired with jeans and sneakers. Please remember that jeans must be free of rips or tears, and Crocs and hats are not permitted.
Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a professional and respectful work environment that sets a strong example for our students.

College Matching: Finding the Right Fit for Student Success
At SEED, we believe that college success starts with the right match. A college or university must be prepared to support students all the way to degree attainment by demonstrating success in key areas. When guiding our students through the college selection process, we focus on institutions that have:
✅ High graduation rates – Schools with strong track records of helping students earn their degrees.
✅ Affordability – Colleges that offer financial aid and manageable costs to minimize student debt.
✅ Quality campus support resources – Academic, social, and career support services that ensure student success.
By prioritizing these factors, we help our students make informed choices that lead to long-term success. Let’s continue to support them in finding the best college fit! 🎓💙
