DKHS WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
"Do A Job"
NOVEMBER 21, 2025
This will be the last post before break, as we will not be sending out a bulletin next week. I hope that your holiday time brings some rest and fun for you and your family. On the Thanksgiving theme, I want to say how grateful I am to work with such an amazing staff, our awesome kids, and this caring and compassionate community. Delton is such a special place and I don’t take for granted how nice it is to work with so many great people. Let’s keep growing and getting better in all areas as we pursue success for our young people.
Speaking of great young people, I want to give a shout-out to Roman Hull. Roman is a senior who has volunteered to take on the role of our student representative on the DKS School Board. This week, Roman gave a 5-minute report on things at the high school, and I’m so proud of this young man of character and how he lives out, through his actions, so much of what we want to see from kids.
Wednesday night I had the opportunity to see our DKTAC kids in their opening night performance of the fall play Fear Factory. A fun, not so scary adventure worth checking out. I’m always so impressed with what this group of kids can put together. You can still see the show on Saturday at 1 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are $7.00 at the door. Our directors Nicole Krzebietke and Noelle Vroegop do a fantastic job of leading our theatre group.
Winter sports practices are now in full swing and our boys basketball gets the winter competitions started with a December 2nd game here against Bloomingdale. Check out the athletics tab on our website or watch for updates on various social media platforms. Many DK athletes have received post season all division, all conference, and all county awards and we anticipate more honors in the coming days. Aubrey Yarger starts the defense of her State Championship victory in diving from last year. Aubery is competing today and Saturday at Eastern Michigan University in the State Finals. Good Luck Aubrey!!!
This week’s Hogie’s Hero is Xzavier Aldridge. Xzavier is a sophomore who is showing how a willingness to help can make a difference for others. His bus driver, Mrs. Einhardt wrote a beautiful letter to Dr. Wright expressing her appreciation for Xzavier’s attitude, kindness, help, and compassion he demonstrated on the bus by helping her and a young elementary student who was having a rough time. His actions of kindness not only helped our young friend but also impacted the entire bus and is a great example of DOING A JOB!! Congrats and thank you Xzavier. We are proud of you.

ALLIED HEALTH CLASS
Allied Health students are geared up for their safety lessons this week. They learned the importance of infection transmission, isolation types, and how to properly put on and take off personal protection equipment. They continued their work by preparing for poster presentations on a variety of safety topics they've learned over the past couple of weeks.
