💛Heart of the Hurricanes
October 2026
A message from your counselors...
Howdy, Hatchett Families!
October is a wonderful time to focus on the importance of respect, kindness, and making healthy and safe choices. This month, our counseling lessons and activities will encourage students to be good friends, show kindness to others, recognize bullying, and learn how they can be an upstander when they see someone being treated unfairly.
We also had the opportunity to host our first parent session focused on the Six Pillars of Character. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We enjoyed sharing resources, gathering your feedback, and continuing to build a strong partnership between home and school.
Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting Decision of Respect on October 2, Bullying Prevention, and Red Ribbon Week (October 26–30). These activities provide opportunities for students to practice respect, strengthen positive relationships, and make choices that support their well-being and that of others.
As always, please feel free to reach out if we can support your student or family.
