KES Vision and Mission Statement
The vision of Kewaskum Elementary School is to guide our students to be respectful, hopeful, compassionate, and responsible individuals who recognize and take ownership in their educational journey.
The mission of Kewaskum Elementary School is to develop the whole child by providing an engaging and nurturing environment through high-quality teaching and learning.
PTO Family Night
Student of the Month
Each month, every classroom teacher selects one student to nominate for Student of the Month. These students are chosen based on consistent good behavior, strong effort in the classroom, being a positive role model for others, and going above and beyond KES behavior standards. We are proud to recognize students who demonstrate kindness, responsibility, and perseverance each day.
Congratulations to the following students…

KES Vision of a Learner
At Kewaskum Elementary, we believe every child can grow into a confident, caring, and capable learner. Our Vision of a Learner outlines the important skills and habits that help students succeed in school and in life.
This vision grows with your child from 4K through 5th grade, focusing on eight key areas:
✅ Community Contributors – caring, respectful, and responsible members of their community.
✅ Effective Communicators – share ideas clearly and listen to others.
✅ Creative Problem Solvers – think critically and find solutions.
✅ Resilient Learners – persevere, try new things, and learn from mistakes.
✅ Digital Citizens – use technology responsibly.
✅ Healthy Individuals – practice self-care, good habits, and balance.
✅ Responsible Collaborators – work well with peers and adults.
✅ Future Focused – set goals and dream big.
Question for the Monthly Focus
February – Healthy Individuals
Students focus on self-care, good habits, and staying active.
Ask your child: “What’s one healthy choice you made today?”
Lost and Found
Over that last few months we have collected many items in our lost and found. All of the lost and found items have been put on tables. If you see anything that belongs to you please have your child go down and get the item from lost and found.
Upcoming State Testing
In later part of March and early April, students in grades 3–8 will participate in the Wisconsin Forward Exam. This statewide assessment measures student progress in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Students in grades 4 and 8 will also take Science, and grade 4 students will take Social Studies.
The Forward Exam is completed online during the school day and is untimed. Staff will support students by providing a calm and structured testing environment.
Families can help by ensuring students get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and are encouraged to do their best. Thank you for your support during testing season!
