Junior Cross Country Success
Our youngest ākonga hit the trails yesterday for the Junior Invitational Cross Country! They represented our school beautifully, demonstrating our core values at every turn. A massive thank you to the amazing whānau who helped with transport and supervision—we are both proud and grateful for the incredible support you show our school sports events. Ngā mihi!
Kindness in Action: Pink Shirt Day
Organized by our Student Council, Pink Shirt Day was a fantastic success. This event tied in perfectly with our ongoing focus on integrity—doing the right thing even when no one is looking. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our messages of kindness and valuing diversity to the fore.
Welcome to the Team
We are excited to welcome Alex and Yumin and Miriama to our kura! Please give them a warm Bellevue welcome if you see them around!
Mid-Year Learning Conversations
Our mid-year three-way conferences are fast approaching on Tuesday, June 16th and Wednesday, June 17th. As our twice-yearly face-to-face reporting opportunity, these conversations are vital for discussing your child's progress and next steps. We strongly encourage all families to attend.
Stay tuned: More information on how to book and specific timings will follow shortly.
Professional Learning Day: Tuesday, June 2nd
Note: School will be closed. Following the King’s Birthday weekend, school will be closed on Tuesday, June 2nd for our Te Korowai ō Horokiwi cluster Professional Learning Day.
This is a valuable chance for our staff to network and build partnerships across our kura. This year, we are thrilled to host a keynote and workshops from Kathryn Berkett, along with sessions from Life Education.

Enrolment planning for 2026-2027
Do you have a child turning five soon or next year or know someone else who does? Parents of students who live within the home zone and intend to enrol their child at any time in 2026-2027 are asked to please notify the school as soon as possible to assist the school to plan appropriately. It helps us to know as early as possible how many students will be enrolling as a five-year-old. Interested families may collect an enrolment pack from the office or from our website.
Out of zone enrolment applications are now being accepted for the fourth enrolment period of 2026 (Saturday 26 September to Wednesday 16 December 2026). Up to five (5) places are likely to be available for out of zone students.
The deadline for out of zone enrolments is Friday 26 June 2026.
Please have a look at the school website for more details: https://www.bellevue-newlands.school.nz/school-enrolment.
