Inclusive Schools Week is an annual event nationally recognized that provides an opportunity for our schools to discuss and celebrate how to successfully include and educate all children. This year's theme, Children First: Building A Stronger Tomorrow, highlights the importance of putting students at the center of education and recognizes their right to belong.
During Inclusive Schools Week, CVUSD schools will host a variety of events and activities that recognize the individuality of each student and demonstrate how celebrating differences fosters a community of inclusivity, kindness, and respect, ultimately enriching learning for everyone. SEDAC Hosts Inclusive Schools Week Donation Drive for The Conejo Closet
The CVUSD Special Education District Advisory Council (SEDAC) has organized a Conejo Closet Donation Drive for Inclusive Schools Week, December 8-12, 2025.
The Conejo Closet seeks to assist CVUSD families in need by providing toiletries, personal care items, school supplies, and clothing, free of charge.
The SEDAC Inclusive Schools Week donation drive will benefit CVUSD students with disabilities by collecting items specifically designed to support the needs of children and youth with disabilities, such as fragrance free toiletries, adaptive backpacks for wheelchair users and sensory-friendly and adaptive clothing.
SEDAC also hopes to collect essential tools like noise-blocking headphones, fidgets and chewy toys to help students manage sensory challenges, anxiety, focus and attention.
To support this donation drive, please visit SEDAC’s Amazon Wish List or Target Wish List to purchase items that will be shipped directly to the Conejo Closet. Your donations will help make our schools even more inclusive by making sure that all students with disabilities have what they need to thrive, in school and in life.
