Ben-Hem Bobcats

December 23, 2025
Dear Ben-Hem Families,
As we close out 2025 and head into winter break, I’ve found myself reflecting on the year and feeling especially grateful to have joined the Ben-Hem community. In my time here, I’ve been struck by the welcoming spirit, shared care for students, and sense of community that make Ben-Hem such a special place.
Whether you are celebrating holidays during this season or simply enjoying a pause in the routine, I hope the break brings time to rest, reconnect, and reflect. I look forward to continuing our work together in 2026.
All the best,
Jordan
Report on Student Progress (ROSP)
On January 30th, 2026 at 3pm each student will have a ROSP available for viewing and printing in PowerSchool. This report provides information about your student's progress toward grade level standards that they are expected to achieve by the end of the school year. It is therefore expected that students will be "Beginning" or "Progressing" rather than "Meeting" at this time of year. Instructions for viewing your student's report can be found here.
Access Testing
Each year we collect information about student growth and success for children that are multi-lingual learners. Here is some information for parents so you are aware of what is happening at school. This parent letter outlines more information and this document is available in a number of languages if you scroll down.
What: ACCESS for ELLs is the annual English Language Proficiency assessment required by state and federal law. It measures English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It also assesses social, academic, and discipline-specific language across content areas, aligned with grade-level content standards.
Who: All K–12 students identified as English Learners, including students who have opted out of the English Learner Education program, must participate.
When: January 5 – February 27, 2026.
