First of all, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope you have a chance to relax and have some quality time with the people you love. I cannot believe we are at the end of the first semester. I’m so proud of what our staff and students have accomplished already this year. It would be too long of a note if I listed all the things that we can celebrate from these past few months. Trophies, awards, championships, honors, and medals from athletics as well as our band and theatre groups. Cool science trips and experiments, MHSAA Scholar-Athlete, State and National Conventions for our new FFA Chapter, Community Pep Rallies, a State Champion, completion of our Student Wellness Room, and the list goes on and on. Most importantly to me, our kids are consistently showing behaviors and attitudes that exhibit good character. They are caring and compassionate people and I have many examples of our kids displaying integrity and doing the right thing. We aren’t perfect, and we don’t pretend to be but I think we can all be proud to be Delton Panthers.
As kids finish exams and we step into the Holiday Break I want to say thank you to our amazing staff. They are some of the most caring and hard-working people I know and it is an honor to work alongside this team here at DK. And when I say this team, I mean the whole group, not just our teaching staff. The office ladies, coaches, paras, kitchen staff, guidance, and counseling team, as well as our bus drivers, maintenance and custodial staff, are all a part of the WE I celebrate. These are the folks who are this week’s DO A JOB / Hogie’s Heroes award winners. Thanks for all you do for our kids and our community!!
