IMPORTANT SENIOR ACTIVITY_HVJ DECISION DAY📌----MAY 1, 2025
Hello Class of 2025,
It is time to CELEBRATE and SHOWCASE your college, military branch, or employment choice!
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the school will host its second annual HVJ Decision Day. This will be a day of celebration for your high school achievements and post-secondary plans. Whatever your decision (college, military, or workforce), you and your family members will be able to show off your plans by decorating your table display with swag and merch (like the ones shown in the photos below). The cost to participate is FREE. However, you must submit letters of acceptance, employment offer letters, or proof of enlistment. Tablecloths and table signs will be provided by the school. The rest is up to you, only your time and talent are needed. Have FUN, be CREATIVE, and rep your decision. We look forward to seeing you shine! If you are interested in participating in HVJ Decision Day, scan or click on the link below.
If you plan on participating, order your t-shirt (amazon, college bookstore, etc.) to wear that day. If you are going into the military contact your recruiter to get a t-shirt, and if you are obtaining employment contact your employer to get a t-shirt to wear. Your family members are asked to wear paraphernalia in support of your decision as well.
Parents, please plan to report to the school on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. SHARP to decorate your table. Also, please include any giveaway items for the juniors. Please see the attached picture for ideas.

Dr. Kam's French 1 Class
French 1 students practice conjugating all the irregular verbs that have learned this semester as part of their daily Dojo Practice warm up. As a part of the Dojo Practice, they also have to report on the weather each day and what their plans are for the day. They have been working very hard to master these skills in French.
Skeleton Appreciation Week
It's Skeleton Appreciation Week in the 2D art room! We have learned all about the major bones of the skeletal system and are creating watercolor paintings of a chosen "Bone Zone" using our prior knowledge of color theory.
PBIS Awareness Week—A Sweet Success!
HVJ would like to send a special thanks to our PBIS Team!
As we lace up the final steps of our PBIS Awareness Week, I just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who contributed! From rocking the Footwear Spirit Festivity to spreading the PBIS message, and serving up over 200 scoops of joy —this week was nothing short of legendary! 🐄😂
A huge shoutout to our amazing partners and student volunteers who helped make our "I Scream, You Scream" treat a smashing success. The energy was high, the smiles were wide, and the teamwork was on full display.
Beyond the fun, PBIS is making a real impact! We’re building a school culture where students know the importance of arriving early and on time —because success starts the moment they walk through the doors!
Check out the recap photos —because memories this sweet deserve to be shared!
I appreciate you all more than words (or ice cream scoops) can express!
Let's keep the PBIS magic going!
