Sucess Stories Per Goal Discussion

As we discussed at our meeting, below is the schedule (that reflects the Canvas module schedule closely) for submitting student success stories to Marketing. Remember, please do a photo release check for any student you submit for a story. I am open to you switching months with another team member if they are okay with it. However, please just let me know if you swap a month, so the schedule can be updated. Please use the sheet linked HERE to document the success stories on the "GOAL 2" tab.

Remember the goal of "assigning a month" is to help divide up the work, but we can make tweaks to this as needed. **And of course, this is just the bare minimum - always feel free to submit other GREAT stories as they come your way and we can document those on this form as well!!

Personal Leave Update (from email)

Policy:

Staff may be absent from duties for personal business for up to five (5) days per fiscal year at no loss of pay.

Procedures:

Personal Leave is intended for personal business that cannot be completed outside of regular work hours. Employees must notify their supervisor at least 48 hours in advance when requesting Personal Leave.

  • Employees may not use more than two (2) consecutive days of Personal Leave.

  • Personal Leave may not be combined with any other type of leave, holidays, or school closures if doing so would result in an absence of three (3) or more consecutive workdays.

  • The only exception is in cases of employee illness when all other available leave has been exhausted.

Example: An employee may not take one Annual Leave Day followed immediately by two Personal Leave days, as this would result in three consecutive workdays away from the office.

For new employees, or employees leaving prior to the completion of a contract year, personal leave days above three will be prorated based on seniority date for that fiscal year.

Up to two (2) days of unused personal leave on June 30 will be rolled forward and added to available sick leave in the next fiscal year based on contract renewal. Unused personal leave in excess of two (2) days does not carry forward to the next fiscal year.

Blood Drive

Mark your calendars! The Blood Drive will be held next Wednesday, September 3 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Purple Room (D1750).

You do not need an appointment to donate, but having one will give you preference over walk-ins. You can easily schedule your appointment (highly recommended) by scanning the QR code on the flyers posted around campus. Donating blood takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour once the process begins.

All students under age of 18 must have a parent permission form!

Remind your students that they must have a photo ID with date of birth. They can use their student ID and get an enrollment print out from the attendance office located near the bookstore in the HSC building that will have their date of birth.
