Thank you to Tina Squibb from Snap-Ed for visiting our 3 and 4 year old's to discuss the importance of drinking water and keeping our bodies hydrated. Each child received a book and a water bottle and tasted water with different fruit in it. πŸŠπŸ‹πŸ’§ The Judy Center at CHES is committed to offering water to our families during playgroups and events!

Germs

It's never too early to teach your child about germs and how to stay clean and healthy. Here are simple things you can do to help protect your toddler from germs.

-Explain that even though we can't see them, germs are found in many places, such as on the floor, toilets, tabletops, door knobs and even on our own bodies. Encourage your child not to share their cup, spoon, or food with others.

-Teach your child how to blow a kiss when he or she is sick so they don't spread germs.

-Teach your child how to wash their hands. Two-year-old's should be able to wash their hand by themselves. Help your child adjust the water temperature and encourage her to wash tops, bottoms and in between fingers.

-Teach your child how to use a tissue to wipe their nose and then how to put the tissue in the trash and wash their hands.

-Demonstrate coughing into the crook of your elbow.

-Keep your child home when they are sick.

The Judy Center Early Learning Hub provides resources to help parents and caregivers prepare their children for success in school and life. We serve children and their families living in the Church Hill Elementary School zone from birth through age five. We also serve children who reside anywhere in Queen Anne's County IF they have an IEP/IFSP.

We provide home learning kits, playgroups, home-visits, field trips, and parent/caregiver support. All of these services are FREE!
