Principal's Message
Dear Logan Families,
It was wonderful seeing so many families at our Fall Festival this past Friday! What a fantastic way to end an awesome week at Logan Elementary!
I am also excited and proud to share some incredible news: Logan Elementary has increased its school report card rating from Average to GOOD! This is the highest rating in our school’s history, reflecting growth in every performance area. This achievement would not be possible without our talented teachers who believe in our students’ ability to achieve at high levels, support staff who understand that every role contributes to student success, students who rise to high expectations, and families who trust and partner with our school. Thank you for being part of the Logan family! We are celebrating this milestone while continuing to work toward EXCELLENT!
As we look ahead to another great week, please keep these important reminders in mind:
Book Fair: Visit the Media Center through Thursday. The Book Fair will be open until 3:00 p.m. each day.
Good News Club: Sessions begin Wednesday. Please complete the registration form if you are interested in having your child participate.
Report Cards: Report cards will be shared Thursday. Traditional students’ report cards will be shared electronically, while Montessori students will receive hard copies to take home.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will continue to help our Leopards learn, grow, and succeed!
Leading with love,
Principal Copeland

World Finest Chocolate!
We're heading into the FINAL DAYS of our World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser, and we've got TWO exciting announcements!
👮 NEW BONUS PRIZE: JUNIOR SRO FOR THE DAY! 🚓
One lucky Leopard will get to spend part of the school day with our School Resource Officer and get a behind-the-scenes look at what our SRO does to help keep Logan safe!
How do you qualify? Sell at least 3 boxes of chocolate and turn in your money by Friday, October 23, to be entered into a special drawing! Every qualifying student gets one entry.
🏆 NEW CLASSROOM TOP-SELLER PRIZES!
We're also adding a prize for the TOP CHOCOLATE SELLER IN EACH CLASSROOM! That means students have another opportunity to win, even if they're not the highest seller in their grade or the entire school!
And don't forget — Principal for the Day and our grade-level top-seller prizes are STILL up for grabs!
💚 NOW, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!
Our World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser funds nearly our ENTIRE PTO budget for the school year, including teacher grants, classroom resources, and the FREE events and activities our students and families enjoy.
Right now, fewer than half of our students are participating. At our current pace, we simply won't raise enough to fund many of the programs, grants, and events we've planned for this school year.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has already participated, but we need one final push from our Leopard community to make this fundraiser a success!
🍫 LAST CHANCES TO CHECK OUT CHOCOLATE:
Monday, October 19: FINAL DAY!
💰 FINAL DEADLINE FOR PRIZE QUALIFICATION: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23!
Haven't participated yet? There's still time! Already sold a box or two? Consider checking out another!
Every box sold and every volunteer hour helps us provide more for ALL our Logan Leopards! 🐆💚
Thank you for helping us finish strong!

At Security Federal Bank, we offer a specialized savings account for kids designed to teach financial responsibility from an early age. Our youth savings accounts provide an excellent way for children to learn the importance of saving money while earning interest on their deposits.
If you are interested in opening a youth savings account and setting your child on the path to a secure financial future, Security Federal will be onsite on Friday of each week during the school year. Deposits will be available for drop-off between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. on Fridays.
For more details, they can be reached at: 1900 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC, 803-739-3960, and SVoit@securityfederalbank.com.

Carline Procedures
We Must Work Together To Keep All Leopards Safe!!
Car Line Drop-Off
- Every child needs hugs, kisses, or high fives to start the school day. Please take care of this before arriving in the drop-off zone each day.
- Drivers, please remain in your vehicle. When you stop and get out, it slows the flow of the line.
Pull as far forward as reasonably possible to allow space for more parents to drop-off their Leopards.
Have students exit the car from the passenger side (right side). Students who exit from the driver’s side create a much higher chance for an accident.
Students may exit the car only after crossing the DOUBLE WHITE LINE.
- The doors are open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Please note that students must be in the classroom by 7:30 a.m. prepared for the instructional day.
- If you arrive after 7:30 am, please walk your child to the front office to complete the tardy slip. Do not leave your child unattended at the front door.
- After the first day, parents will not be allowed to walk in the building. This is for all parent and guardians. A staff member will ensure your child report to his or her assigned class.
If a family in front of you is taking longer than usual, you may carefully pull around the car when it is safe to do so.
Avoid walking across the parking lot. The sidewalk is a much safer alternative.
Car Line Pick-up
- Please remember to clearly display your child's car rider sign in the windows of your car. You will be able to pick up a tag during our Back to School Orientation.
- All transportation changes must be received in writing and always sent to your child’s teacher using their communication platform, e-mail, or fax to (803) 929-3896. All same day transportation changes need to be done through the front office.
- Early dismissal will end at 2:00 p.m. This is to ensure that dismissal is smooth at the end of the day. If there is an emergency, please contact the front office or let me know so accommodations can be made.
- The school day ends at 2:30 p.m. You must remain in your car. Please do not stand at the front entrance doors. Car riders will stay in the classroom with their teacher until their name is called.
- Abbeville Street will be a ONE WAY street (towards Park Street) between posted times 7:00 - 7:30 AM and 2:20 - 3:00 PM.
- NO LEFT TURN into the school parking lot from Lincoln Street during posted times 7:00 - 7:30 AM and 2:20 - 3:00 PM.
Parents and students can access bus stop locations, routes, and pick-up times on our secure mobile app, providing easy access and transparency.
