EJ SHOE DRIVE: WE DID IT!! ๐๐
Thanks to our EJ community, every shoe requested for an EJ scholar or sibling has been purchased! In addition to the many families and neighbors who bought shoes from our registry, the Esther Jackson Community Foundation received donations that allowed us to purchase every remaining pair.
Thanks to everyone who purchased a pair, donated or shared the drive! Weโre so grateful for a community that continues to show up for EJ families.

STUDENT SUCCESS SKILLS
Student Success Skills are a set of standards that will be taught in all schools, to all students, by all teachers throughout the school year. These standards include six skills that are broken down into several standards across grade levels. Teaching these skills will support students in creating a foundation for managing emotions, healthy relationships, understanding and empathizing with others, being responsible and safe, and learning to cope with difficult life situations.

Why You Should Listen to Your Child Reading Aloud - It happens in every classroom. A student raises their hand, asking for help answering a question about the passage they just read. โRead it out loud to me,โ the teacher responds. The student reads a couple sentences and suddenly pauses. โI got it!โ they exclaimed. This is the power of a child reading aloud.

How to Help Your Child with LD Have a Happy Holiday - The holiday season is a time for family togetherness, community, and friendship when we enjoy parties and fun celebrations. Unfortunately, children who struggle with social and behavioral problems can feel lonely and excluded during this happy time.
