Hello CAP Family and Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year!!!

Dear High School Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope your family enjoyed a safe, restful summer and is ready for another year of learning, growth, and achievement. Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the first time, we are excited to welcome you. Our faculty and staff have been working hard to prepare engaging academic experiences and meaningful opportunities that will challenge our students, support their individual needs, and help them prepare for success beyond high school.

A successful school year depends upon a strong partnership among students, families, and staff. We encourage families to remain involved, communicate regularly with teachers, and support our shared expectations for attendance, academic effort, and respectful behavior. By working together, we can ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

I look forward to seeing our students return to the building and to celebrating their accomplishments throughout the year. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. On behalf of the entire high school faculty and staff, welcome back, and best wishes for a successful and rewarding 2026–2027 school year!

Warm Regards,

Mr. Richichi

Welcome back, students and families! I hope everyone had a safe, enjoyable, and restful summer. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am excited to see our students return ready to learn, grow, and contribute positively to our high school community. My goal is to help maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment in which every student can succeed.

A strong start begins with good habits. Students are expected to arrive on time each day, attend all classes, wear the proper school uniform, follow the school’s cell phone policy, and treat classmates and staff with respect. Families play an essential role in reinforcing these expectations, and we encourage you to remain in regular communication with us throughout the year. When students, families, teachers, and administrators work together, challenges can be addressed early and students are better positioned for success.

I look forward to getting to know our new students, reconnecting with those returning, and celebrating the many accomplishments ahead. Let us begin the year with a positive attitude, a commitment to excellence, and pride in our school community. Welcome back, and let’s make the 2026–2027 school year a great one!

CAP's Participation in the CEP Program CAP's Participation in the CEP Program

CAP participates in the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP is a provision from the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 which allows schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) with high poverty rates to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. CEP eliminates the burden of collecting household applications to determine eligibility for school meals, relying instead on information from other means-tested programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.

USDA Nondiscrimination Statement USDA Nondiscrimination Statement

Dear Members of the CAP Community,

We are writing to inform you of an important update to the 2025-2026 Student Handbook.

In compliance with federal regulations, all materials that inform the public about the USDA Child Nutrition Programs (such as the National School Lunch Program) must contain the current USDA Nondiscrimination Statement. To ensure that our handbook is fully compliant and transparent regarding our commitment to equal opportunity in all school activities and programs, the official USDA Nondiscrimination Statement has been added to the handbook.

The full, official statement now included in the handbook reads as follows:

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication to obtain program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the responsible state or local agency that administers the program or USDA's TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TTY) or contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (PDF), from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant's name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

1. mail: U.S. Department of Agriculture

Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights

1400 Independence Avenue, SW

Washington, D.C. 20250-9410; or

2. fax: 256-1665 or (202) 690-7442; or

3. email: Program.intake@usda.gov

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
