🌎✨ Staff Appreciation Certificates 2026
“Our Teachers Are Out of This World Amazing!”
Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 4th–8th, and we need your help celebrating our incredible Battery Creek High School teachers and staff!
As part of our “traveling around the universe” theme, we are inviting students, families, and staff to submit messages of appreciation using the form below.
💌When you submit a message, it will generate a Staff Appreciation Certificate that we will print and deliver to teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
One of our themed days celebrates Italy, which is why the certificate says:
“Because we amore you so much for…”
(Amore means love in Italian!)
This is your chance to recognize someone who has made a difference—whether it’s through support, encouragement, or a moment that meant something to you.
Let’s show our Dolphin family just how much they mean to us. 🐬✨

Purple Up! Wednesdays in April
In April we celebrate The Month of the Military Child! Each Wednesday students, teachers, and staff are invited to wear purple to show our support!
Seat Time and Tutoring
Tutoring and Seat time recovery has started for the 2nd Semester!
Morning: 7:45–8:15 (Media Center)
Afternoon: 4:00–5:00 (Upper A Hall)
Tutoring is open to students who need additional support in English, Math, or other subjects. This is a great opportunity for homework help, academic support, and extra practice.
⭐ Please note: Tutoring also counts as seat time for this semester.
We encourage students to attend and take advantage of this support.
ParentSquare
Beaufort County Schools and Coosa Elementary now uses ParentSquare for all school and district communications.
49% of our families have downloaded the app! Almost half!
This is how you are able to send messages to your child's teacher (or any adult in the building).
BCSD has developed a comprehensive webpage with many common questions and answers! Check it out here: www.beaufortschools.net/families/parentsquare
Student Square
StudentSquare is available for BCSD students in grades 6-12. This allows them to join groups like athletic teams, clubs, and build independence, responsibility and communication skills. Students must use their BCSD email address to login to StudentSquare. Login on Classlink or download the StudentSquare App for your phone type and choose Sign in with Google.

Attendance
📘 Attendance Agreement – What Families Need to Know
Regular school attendance is critical to student success. By law, all students in Grades K–12 must attend school for a minimum of 170 days out of the 180-day school year—including excused absences as outlined by the state and district.
Absence Procedure:
Students are required to submit a written excuse signed by a parent or guardian for every absence. This excuse must be turned in within 3 days of the student’s return to school. If not received within that timeframe, the absence will be recorded as unexcused.
A valid excuse must include:
-
Student’s name
-
Dates of the absence(s)
-
Reason for the absence
-
Parent/guardian signature
-
A phone number where the parent/guardian can be reached
📌 Please Note: Submitting a false excuse will be referred to school administration for disciplinary action.
Lawful (Excused) Absences Include:
-
Illness that would endanger the student’s health or the health of others
-
Serious illness or death in the immediate family (parents, legal guardians, siblings, children, grandparents)
-
Recognized religious holidays of the family’s faith
-
Medical, dental, mental health, or other health-related appointments that must occur during school hours
If you have any questions about your student’s attendance or need support submitting excuses, please contact the school’s front office. We're here to help!
Tardies
⏰ Tardiness Policy – Be On Time, Every Day!
We ask all families to help ensure students arrive to school on time each day. Instruction begins promptly at 8:45 AM, and being late means missing valuable learning time.
Tardiness will only be excused for the following reasons:
✔️ A late school bus
✔️ A documented medical appointment
Important Reminders About Tardiness:
-
Students who arrive late will not be allowed to bring in food or drinks from outside the building. Items must be left at the front or thrown away.
-
Student drivers who are tardy five times may have their parking pass temporarily suspended. Continued tardiness may result in the loss of parking privileges altogether.
Let’s work together to build strong habits of punctuality and responsibility—thank you for your support!
