Principal's Message
Good evening Yowell Families,
This week, our students will participate in both an evacuation drill and an earthquake drill. Teachers will review the procedures ahead of time, and our staff will guide students through each drill calmly as we practice how to respond safely in an emergency.
Friday night is our Trick-or-Treat Night, and we cannot wait! Families who purchased wristbands should come ready for costumes, decorated doors, candy and treats, and a fun evening with our Yowell community. Please remember that every child who will be collecting treats must have a wristband. We originally listed last Friday as the deadline to return Trick-or-Treat forms, but I forgot that Friday was a teacher workday and there was no school. I apologize for that mistake. We will continue accepting completed forms and payment through tomorrow, Monday. If you need a form, please call the school office.
We also have a busy week of clubs and rehearsals ahead. Musical rehearsal begins bright and early Monday and Wednesday, while Band, Sports Club, and Art Club meet on their scheduled mornings. Please check the newsletter for the complete schedule.
Thursday is Little Caesars Night from 4 to 7 p.m. Stop by, enjoy an easy dinner, and support our school at the same time.
We are looking forward to a wonderful week and an absolutely fantastic Trick-or-Treat Night on Friday!

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Kameron Buckhanan with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
