Nicotine and caffeine pouches are becoming increasingly popular among young people. Because their small containers can resemble ordinary mint containers—such as Ice Breakers—they may be easy to overlook or misidentify.

Please take a moment to review the attached flyer and talk with your child about the risks:

🔴 Nicotine pouches are highly addictive and can negatively affect the developing adolescent brain. Students may not possess, use, distribute, or be under the influence of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes (vapes), nicotine products, or related devices while on school property or at school-related functions.

⚡ Caffeine pouches may contain concentrated amounts of caffeine that can cause anxiety, vomiting, sleep problems, or a rapid and irregular heartbeat.

🟢 Ice Breakers are ordinary breath mints, but their containers may look similar at a glance.

Don’t rely on the container alone. Read the label, check the ingredients, and look for the words nicotine, caffeine, energy, focus, or boost.

Awareness and open conversations at home can help keep our students safe.

🏈 Football Game Reminder 🏈 Football Game Reminder

Students must go home after school before the game. Students may not remain on campus waiting for the game unless they are participating in a school-sponsored activity under staff supervision. Students in 8th grade and below must be accompanied by an adult to enter. Students dropped off at the gate without an adult will not be allowed to enter.

We have noticed an increase in:

  • Very short shorts
  • Sleeveless shirts that do not meet school expectations
  • Jeans with holes above the knee

Beginning next week, we will contact parents/guardians when dress code concerns occur.

Families, please help us by checking clothing before students leave for school. Our goal is not to interrupt instruction—we want students in class, comfortable, and ready to learn.
