Crossing Guard
We are looking for a friendly and dependable crossing guard to help our students safely cross the street before and after school at Stonebridge Blvd. and Sutton Ln. If you or someone you know is interested in helping keep our school community safe, please reach out to the school office for more details or apply online at www.ipsd.org. The time commitment is a maximum of 30 minutes per shift.
Giftmart
This holiday season, we’re supporting Giftmart, a special event that allows invited parents and guardians from under-resourced families to shop for brand-new toys at just $2.00 each. Every dollar raised from these sales is donated directly back to participating schools to help fund much-needed classroom resources.
You can help make this special event possible by donating a new, unwrapped toy for children ages 6–12. (Please, no stuffed animals or board games.)
Giftmart Toy Boxes will be available from November 9 – December 4 at Brooks.
Prefer to shop online? You can send a gift directly through our wish lists:
Target: https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/holiday/2026giftmartsn
Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/lists/wishlist/5b3d0d89-e8cb-4f54-a31e-0a527aeb8cb5
Your donation helps make the holidays brighter for families who need it most and supports our schools and community at the same time. If you would prefer you can donate to https://www.giftmartfamilycharities.org/donate . Thank you for sharing the spirit of giving!
We will be having a grade level contest for our toy collection. The grade level that collects the most toys will earn a popcorn and movie day!
Volunteer Form
You can make an impact at our school as a volunteer! The district has a volunteer application that will need to be completed if you are interested in volunteering at Brooks this school year. Please see the information on the district website. If you are a room parent or plan on helping at any school event, please complete the district volunteer form.

Brooks Pumpkin Book Gallery
Thank you to all the families who participated in our Pumpkin Book Gallery this year! Our pumpkins were all amazing! Pictures of all our pumpkins can be found at: https://sites.google.com/ipsd.org/brooks-lmc/library-fun/pumpkin-book-gallery
Picture Book Month
We are celebrating picture books in the month of November with a school wide challenge! To participate, each Brooks student should keep track of how many picture books they read during November and we will add them all up to find the total number of books read by Brooks students. If every Brooks student reads just one picture book a day, we would read over 17,000 picture books in the month of November!
Recording sheets and information will be sent home with students and can be found here: https://sites.google.com/ipsd.org/brooks-lmc/library-fun/picture-book-month
Please contact Mrs. Cooley (sarah_cooley@ipsd.org) with any questions.
