Project Success - Starts Next Week!
Program Purpose
Project Success provides targeted, supplemental academic instruction to students who need additional academic support. Sessions focus on tutoring, skill development, and targeted instruction to help students strengthen their understanding of challenging concepts and improve their academic performance.
Project Success Schedule
This year, Project Success will focus exclusively on the four core academic content areas: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. All instruction will be provided by teachers who are highly qualified in their respective content areas.
The program will offer support in the following areas:
Mathematics: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Math Apps β 3 days per week
English Language Arts: All Levels β 3 days per week
Science: Biology / Earth and Space Science β 1 day per week
Science: Chemistry / Physical Science β 1 day per week
Social Studies: All Levels β 1 day per week
A final Note
Project Success is intended to provide students with meaningful, focused instruction that addresses their individual learning needs, strengthens content knowledge, and promotes academic growth.
Families are encouraged to communicate with their child's teachers about academic needs and whether Project Success may be an appropriate source of additional support.
Thank you for your continued support of our efforts to help all students succeed academically.
Attendance and Tardiness
As students begin to accrue absences from school, we wanted to take a moment to remind parents and students of our attendance procedures. These are in the student handbook and were made available in your first day forms on Genesis.
A student who accumulates more than sixteen (16) unexcused absences will immediately be placed on No Credit Status. Parents/guardians will be notified, and available credit restoration options will be discussed. Once a student is placed on No Credit Status, they are deemed ineligible for extra curricular activities INCLUDING athletics.
Parents/guardians may submit up to six (6) parent notes to excuse a student's absences during the school year.
Students are expected to be in homeroom by 7:24 a.m. Students who are repeatedly late to school will be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and may be referred to the Assistant Principal's Office. Students who arrive after 8:00 a.m. on four (4) occasions will be assessed one (1) unexcused absence for excessive lateness. This absence will be documented in Genesis for credit restoration purposes and will count toward the sixteen (16) unexcused absences permitted before a student is placed on No Credit Status.
Students who lose credit due to attendance may restore credit through one of the following options:
Option 1: After-School Credit Restoration
Students may attend After-School Credit Restoration from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:
April 2027: April 5β8 and April 19β22
May 2027: May 3β6 and May 17β20
June 2027: June 1β3 and June 7β10
Option 2: Summer Credit Restoration
Students may participate in Summer Credit Restoration, offered during a two-week session in July. The program will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for eight (8) days. Students may restore a maximum of twelve (12) days of attendance through the Summer Credit Restoration program. Transportation may be available.
- Please note that Credit Restoration will not start until APRIL. This means if a student accumulates more than 16 days they will be ineligible for activities until they begin credit restoration in April.
District Policy #5200 and District Regulation #5200 govern our attendance practices.
District Policy #5230 and District Regulation #5230 govern our late to school and early dismissal practices.

Phone Free Lunch Periods
As a side effect of the NJ state law our students are choosing to go to our library, read and do other activities during lunch. Recently our Media Specialist, Mrs. Nadelbach put our students teamwork and problem solving skills to work... they have completed 2 large puzzles and are continuing to ask for more and do more with each other. It has been wonderful seeing students interact with each other more and try things that they may have never tried before with a device in their hands. Great work everyone!
