Dear Jefferson Families:
Welcome back to our returning Jefferson families and a special welcome to our new Jefferson families! It was great seeing so many of you at the Back to School Event. I want to reach out with a few reminders before the school year begins. Please take advantage of our Supply Drop-off on August 15th for 1st grade through 5th grade and our Kindergarten Orientation. Pre-School has an orientation on August 17th. Remember we allow students to enter the building at 8:15 and we dismiss at 3:05. Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classtroom by 8:25.
Parents are not allowed on the blacktop in the mornings. You may watch your student enter the building from outside of the gate.
Students will enter and exit the building through the following doors.
DLP Door 2 (front of building)
Pre-K Door 2 (front of building)
Kindergarten Door 5 (on blacktop)
1st grade Enter (Door 8) Exit (Peterson Door 1, DeAlba Door 8, Serrano Door 7)
2nd grade Door 4 (on blacktop)
3rd grade Door 3 (front of building)
4th grade Door 6 (on blacktop)
5th grade Door 6 (on blacktop)
Car Rider Morning Drop-off
Adjacent to the soccer field please pull all the way up to the traffic light OR the car in front of you. Remain in your vehicle and staff will escort your child into school. As a safety measure, please do not exit the car rider lane to pass another car. For the safety of our students, please do not drop off your student prior to 8:15 a.m. This is for safety reasons and to ensure that traffic flows smoothly.
Additionally, there is a drop-off area on Wisconsin Ave. Parents are to remain in their vehicle and staff will escort your child out of the vehicle. This drop-off area was created for 1st graders who are on the west side of the building. Remember, safety for all is at the forefront of all decisions we make.

Monday, August 15th: Kindergarten Orientation begins promptly at 3:00

This week is your last chance to register before the beginning of the school yea. Remember to first register online on Skyward then come to Jefferson to show proof of residency.

¡Bienvenidos nuevamente a nuestras familias de Jefferson que regresan y una bienvenida especial a nuestras nuevas familias de Jefferson! Fue genial ver a tantos de ustedes en el Evento de Regreso a Clases. Quiero comunicarme con algunos recordatorios antes de que comience el año escolar. Aproveche nuestra Entrega de útiles el 15 de agosto para los grados 1 a 5 y nuestra Orientación de jardín de infantes. Preescolar tiene una orientación el 17 de agosto. Recuerde que permitimos que los estudiantes entren al edificio a las 8:15 y salen a las 3:05. Se considera que los estudiantes llegaron tarde si no están en su salón de clases a las 8:25.
Los padres no pueden estar en el asfalto por las mañanas. Puede ver a su estudiante entrar al edificio desde afuera de la cerca.

Bajada De Estudiantes Por Auto
Adyacente a la cancha de fútbol, conduzca y deténgase hasta el semáforo o el automóvil frente de usted. Permanezca en su vehículo y el personal de la escuela acompañará a su hijo/a a la escuela. Como medida de seguridad, no salga del carril de pasajeros para rebasar a otro automóvil. Para la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, no deje a su estudiante antes de las 8:15 a.m. Esto es por razones de seguridad y para garantizar que el tráfico fluya sin problemas.
Además, hay un área de entrega en Wisconsin Ave para los estudiantes de primer grado. Los padres deben permanecer en su vehículo y el personal acompañará a su hijo/a fuera del vehículo. Esta área de entrega se creó para los alumnos de primer grado que se encuentran en el lado oeste del edificio. Recuerde, la seguridad para todos está al frente de todas las decisiones que tomamos.
