A highlight of our PSA Fun Night was a dance competition, with prizes going to our awesome students for their amazing dances!
Harrison McDuffee, DHEMS Student Council President, recently presented an update to the school board about the past, current, and future plans for our student government.
The second annual DHEMS Card Show was a huge success, with over 70 vendors and hundreds of collectors visiting DHEMS and supporting our RAPS Team.
Our 8th grade students recently visited Lewisburg Area High School, meeting administrators, counselors, and teachers, and learning about the scheduling process for 9th grade. In addition to a tour of the building from LINK Crew, students got their first tasting of high school food and life in a new cafeteria!

Health Updates
Please review the following health updates from Mrs. Heather Smouse, DHEMS School Nurse:
6th grade physicals
On Monday March 9th, the school physician is planning to see any 6th grade students who need a physical examination completed for the Pennsylvania requirement. If you want your child to have his/her physical done at the school, please email or call Mrs. Smouse to discuss at smouse_h@dragon.k12.pa.us or 570-522-3215. No immunizations will be administered.
7th grade dental exams
Friday March 27th, our school dentist, Dr. Snyder, is planning to see any 7th grade student who needs a dental examination per the Pennsylvania requirement. The school dentist does not do any cleaning or treatment; just a quick visual inspection and it'll count for this requirement if he sees him/her. If you DO NOT want your child seen, please reach out to Mrs. Smouse at smouse_h@dragon.k12.pa.us or 570-522-3215.
Lost & Found
The lost and found at DHEMS is once again overflowing with shirts, sweatshirts, pants, shoes, water bottles, and more. Please encourage your child to look through the lost and found if they are missing any belongings. Any unclaimed items will be donated to at the end of March.

RAPS Valentine's Breakfast
Some of our Dragon RAPS winners from February earned a Valentine's breakfast served by our 7th grade team. The students earned this opportunity through meeting and exceeding our school-wide expectations of being Respectful, Accountable, Prepared, and Safe. Each winner was able to bring one guest, and students seemed to genuinely enjoy being served by their teachers!
Submit Photos for the Yearbook
Have photos from school events, or activities? They could be featured in this year’s yearbook! Families and students are invited to upload appropriate photos using our eShare site. Submitting photos does not guarantee inclusion, but it gives our yearbook staff more moments to choose from as they capture the story of our school year. We are particularly interested in photos from the fall sports season! Click this link to upload your photos: https://yearbookshare.com/eShare/home and use code dhems.
