Ashland Preschool Weekly Update

Hi, everyone,

A huge SHOUT OUT to the Preschool PTO and our Pittaway families for all the treats, notes and messages for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week! For those of you who may not have seen the theme and details, check out this poster and some pictures below. It was an unBEElievable week!

Next week is our annual Preschool Field Day! We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, May 17. Please let your child's teacher know if you are attending and don't forget to dress in your class colors. Please see below for all the details.

Don't forget we have an early release on Friday, May 19 (after lunch)! That means dismissal will be from 12:05–12:15 p.m. and there will be no PM session!

The end-of-the-year PTO Picnic is scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 5 p.m. Please join us with your families for food, fun and celebration! Find out more about the picnic and sign up below.

If you know of anyone looking for a preschool experience, we currently have AM/PM sessions open for the 2023-2024 school year. More information about preschool registration is available here.

Join us on May 17 for our annual field day. In case of rain, the event will be held on May 18. Parents and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend during the following times:

• AM: 9:45–10:45 a.m.
• PM and Full Day: 1:30–2:45 p.m.

This year's theme is Camp Pittaway, and we will have the following fun, camping activities:

1. Water relay race/bubbles

2. S’more craft/obstacle course

3. Marshmallow relay race/ parachute

4. Campfire ring toss/ limbo

5. Color a visor craft (PTO)/jump the creek

Don't forget to wear your class colors:

• Room 2: Purple
• Room 3: Yellow
• Room 4: Red
• Room 5: Green
• Room 7: Orange
• Room 8: Blue

We invite you to join us for an evening of fun at 5 p.m. on May 19 at the Pittaway playground and field. Don't forget to bring a blanket and chairs. Siblings are welcome!

The PTO will provide food and drinks, but feel free to bring your own. If you would like to bring food to share or donate, email ashlandpreschoolpto@gmail.com.

May 17: Ashland Preschool Field Day (rain date: May 18)

May 19: Early Release (After lunch from 12:05–12:15 p.m.); No PM session.

May 19, 5-7 p.m.: Ashland Preschool PTO End-of-the-Year Picnic

May 24-25: Kindergarten Screenings (scheduled at Warren Elementary School)

June 14: Last day of Preschool

June 15, 10 a.m.: Ashland Preschool Graduation (for students transitioning to Kindergarten)
