Dear Prairie View Families,

Thank you for a truly incredible year at Prairie View!

At Prairie View, we make it our mission to truly see one another—and this year, your children have done just that. They have helped create a school community where students feel valued, supported, and cared for. The kindness, respect, and sense of belonging they show each day is a reflection of the strong partnership we share with you.

From the big moments to the small, this year has been filled with meaningful experiences. From school-wide celebrations, classroom learning, and everyday moments of growth, laughter, and connection. These are the moments that remind us how special our Prairie View community truly is.

In our classrooms, your children have demonstrated perseverance, kindness, and a commitment to learning. We have watched them grow not only academically, but also as thoughtful, caring individuals. Their efforts, their resilience, and even those simple hallway smiles and hugs have meant so much.

I feel incredibly honored to serve this community, and I hope you know how grateful we are for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are creating a place where every student feels known, valued, and encouraged to succeed.

As we head into summer, I wish your family time to rest, recharge, and enjoy all the fun this season brings. We are so proud of all that our students have accomplished this year.

Here’s to all that is ahead—your children are FUTURE READY!

Most Sincerely,
Rachel Schuerman
Principal, Prairie View Elementary

June PACE Character Trait June PACE Character Trait

We are continuing to implement PACE Character Traits right to the end of the school year! We have already had several wonderful lunch celebrations, where families were invited to join us as we honored our PACE recipients. It has been such a joy to see students recognized for the kindness, leadership, and positive choices they demonstrate every day. We are so proud of our Hawks!

At Prairie View, we believe that character counts. We are committed to nurturing the qualities that help students grow into kind, capable, and future-ready citizens. Each month, we highlight a PACE Character Trait, such as respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty. Teachers and students nominate individuals who consistently model the trait of the month, and we come together to celebrate them during our special lunchtime celebrations. These moments allow us to build community, reinforce positive behavior, and remind our students that who they are matters — not just what they learn.

We cannot wait to continue celebrating our Hawks as they soar with character through the year!

The character trait for the month of June is - INTEGRITY! Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching. It is about being honest, keeping your promises, and treating others with kindness, regardless of whether you are being rewarded or supervised. It's like having having an invisible compass inside them that points toward good choices.

We’re excited to introduce “Wear It Wednesdays” at Prairie View! Each Wednesday, our staff will proudly wear college, trade school, and military gear to spark conversations about future-ready pathways with our students. This is a fun way to inspire kids to think about their futures and explore all the possibilities that lie ahead. Students are encouraged to join in the fun by wearing their favorite college, trade school, or military apparel too — let’s make Wednesdays a day to dream big together!
