Second Semester Grades Middle School 2025-2026
- Crown Point Community Schools officially report grades at the end of each semester. Our focus is on mastery learning and supporting a growth mindset in our learners. Please review your child's progress through our Buzz Learning Management System. Report cards will be available digitally in PowerSchool for parents/guardians to view after 10 a.m. on June 5. Click here for a screencast showing how to view a report card.
Media Center - Library Books
All library books must be returned to the school library by the last student day, Friday, May 29. Please check your email for overdue notices from the school librarian. Notices will be sent from do-not-reply@cps.k12.in.us and may be in your junk or spam folder.
If you believe there is an error with a notice, please contact the school library as soon as possible. Books not returned by May 29 will be considered lost, and a fine to replace the book will be charged. All fines for lost and damaged library books will be available in PowerSchool by June 10. Please note that book fines will not be reversed or refunded if a book is returned after the fine is entered.
A credit card payment for lost books can be made through the PowerSchool website https://cpcsc.powerschool.com/public/home.html by logging into your parent account and going to “Balance.” The app does not have a payment option. You can also pay in person by cash, check, or money order made payable to the school.

5.8.26 - Positive Perspectives
- There will be days when things don't go as planned: when school feels difficult, friendships feel complicated, or life simply feels overwhelming. During those moments, it is important to remember that tough times do not last forever, and they do not define who you are.
- Being positive does not mean pretending everything is perfect. It means choosing to keep going, believing in yourself, and finding small reasons to move forward even when things aren’t great. Your attitude can make a big difference in how you handle challenges. A positive mindset helps you stay focused, build confidence, and continue growing through difficult situations. It really is about the small things and acknowledging what IS going right.
- Remember that every successful person has faced setbacks, mistakes, and disappointments. What matters most is how you respond. Learn from challenges, ask for help when you need it, and continue putting forth your best effort. One difficult moment, one bad grade, or one rough day does not determine your future.
- You are stronger, smarter, and more capable than you may realize. Keep encouraging one another, keep showing kindness, and keep believing that each day you can be better. Your effort, attitude, and perseverance matter.
5.15.26 - Finish Strong
Finishing strong is a sign of commitment and pride. You have the decision to close out the school year in a meaningful way. Some students choose to fizzle out. Don’t be that student. Put forth your strongest effort in doing all of the things we talk about regularly. Every task, goal and competition comes to an end. Therefore, make it a habit to finish strong!
