Dear Little School Families,

I hope you are doing well and gearing up for the big game on Sunday! It was such a fun day seeing our students decked out in Patriots and football gear and feeling the excitement around the Super Bowl.

It has been a great couple of weeks since my last newsletter. I’ve spent time in classrooms recently, and it has been so impressive to see how much our students have grown since September. We are about halfway through the school year, and I can’t wait to see how much more growth they show by June.

Please be sure to check out the different sections of this newsletter, as there is important information I would hate for you to miss, particularly details about our Snow Play Day, Academic Night, and traffic reminders.

Wishing you all a wonderful upcoming February vacation. And don’t forget… Go Pats! 🏈

Warmly,
Julie Fahey

Academic Night Academic Night

We are really looking forward to welcoming you all in to school next Thursday Night. The students and staff have been working hard to make this a memorable evening for all.

Please note: This is a family event and that we ask that you navigate the school with your students and remain with them for the duration of the event. Additionally this is a drop in style event so come at your convenience, stay as long as you like, and participate in activities at your own pace.

Please enter through the front lobby entrance.

There you will pick up a "scavenger hunt" which will help you see and do all we have to offer!

School Wide Snow Play Day! School Wide Snow Play Day!

Next Friday, February 13th (Valentine’s parties and Friday the 13th, we’re embracing the chaos!), we will be celebrating with a school-wide Snow Play Day. Each grade level will have designated time to enjoy some fun in the snow.

Please be sure your student comes to school dressed appropriately and brings:

  • Boots

  • Snow pants

  • Coat

  • Hat

  • Gloves

If your student may need to borrow any of these items, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If you have extra winter gear at home, we will gladly accept donations next week to help ensure that all students are able to participate.

We strongly encourage labeling all items so lost belongings can be returned to their owner.

We’re looking forward to a fun-filled day before heading off for February vacation!

Traffic Reminders Traffic Reminders

This is a quick reminder about our morning traffic patterns. We know that cold weather and snow can make drop-off feel more challenging, but for the safety of all students and staff, it is important that we follow our established procedures.

All students being dropped off should be dropped off in the small loop, regardless of which door they will be entering the building. Any families who need to park should do so along Barberry Road before the school driveway.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep everyone safe during arrival.

Looking ahead to March, we are so excited to offer a variety of engaging learning opportunities for our students, both in school and at home! Mrs. Vant is bringing back our beloved March Madness Book Bracket, where all students will enjoy read-alouds and vote on their favorites until one champion is crowned. Mr. Tatro and Mrs. Gomez also have some music and art brackets up their sleeves that are sure to spark creativity and fun.

At home, Ms. Fleck will kick off our March Reading Challenge, encouraging students to read a set number of minutes to contribute toward a schoolwide goal. Can we reach it?

Finally, March Madness Math calendars will be sent home and ready to begin on March 1. Students who complete 20 challenges throughout the month will earn a prize.

We are looking forward to a month full of academic fun and friendly competition! Stay tuned for more info to come!
