From the Senior Leadership Team – Term 4, Week 11
Kia ora TNIS whānau,
As we reach the end of Term 4 and the school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate another outstanding year at Takapuna Normal Intermediate School and to thank you, our amazing whanau, for the incredible support you have shown throughout 2025.
This year has been filled with positive memories and shared experiences that truly reflect the strength of our TNIS community. From the team camps at the start of the year, where friendships were formed and confidence grew, to the spectacular school production of The Wizard of Oz, learners have had countless opportunities to shine. Events such as the Colour Fun Run, numerous Zone Days, and a wide range of musical and cultural performances have brought energy, joy, and school spirit into everyday life at TNIS. None of these experiences would be possible without the time, encouragement, and support of our parents and families.
To our Year 7 families, please note that there is important information later in this newsletter regarding early EOTC days for 2026. Please take a moment to read this carefully as you plan for next year.
We would also like to thank parents for your ongoing support with school uniform expectations, including ensuring learners arrive at school in the correct uniform, with appropriate hats and socks. Your partnership helps maintain a positive and consistent environment for all learners. A reminder that classroom teachers will have already been in touch regarding the school picnic, and we extend a sincere thank you to those parents who can assist with swimming supervision.
As we close the year, we are always grateful for donations of second-hand TNIS uniform items to support other families in our community. If your family no longer needs uniform pieces, please consider donating them to the school on the final day of school. Learners can drop uniform donations to the front office on Wednesday, 17 December. Year 8 learners who donate their uniforms may wear non-uniform on this half day. Please note that learners may not sign TNIS uniforms.
Thank you once again for being such a supportive and engaged community. We wish all our families a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break and look forward to welcoming many of you back in the new year.
Ngā mihi nui,
The TNIS Senior Leadership Team
