Message from Principal Flores
Dragons,
We have 11.5 instructional days. We look forward to celebrating our Dragons soon for End of Year Awards. We have field day on Friday. As previously communicated, scholars must have all tech fees paid and 0 discipline referrals for this marking period as well as LOC cleared. Let's keep a positive climate at our school and follow campus rules to keep Drugan Safe.
Restrooms
For safety purposes and recent vandalism on campus-for the remainder of the year the following will be in place for middle school students:
- 10/10 rule. 1st ten and last 10 minutes students will not be allowed to go to restrooms
- restrooms will be closed during transitions
- campus administrators and security team will check restrooms every 30 minutes
End of Year Incentives
We have various events such as field trips, field day and prom for 8th Grade. Remind your Dragon that they must follow all school rules. If scholar receives an office referral, loss of privilege's will be the consequence to include removal of field trips, completion ceremonies .
STAAR Testing Incentive
To motivate our Dragons we will be replacing their 9 weeks scores IF their STAAR scores are at the Meets or Master's Level. Scores are to be released by the end of the month MAY. If they are released prior to 9 week testing, your child will not need to take their 9 Week assessment. See flyer for more details.
Fees for End of Year
Parents if your child owes any fees for library, technology, cafeteria or LOC. This all must be cleared to attend any field trip, campus events including dance or field day. Please help us to clear out all fines.
