Debate Tournament Saturday!

Our first Saturday debate tournament of the year is coming up this week Saturday, November 18! We will meet at MS 50 at 7AM to take busses up to IN-Tech Academy in the Bronx. This fall, our students are debating the resolution: Should school districts offer financial incentives for performance in school for K-12 students in the US? Ask your debater what evidence they have learned about this interesting topic! Debate families, please sign the permission slip that was shared on Operoo last week.

Want to join us on debate day? Volunteering to judge is a great way to learn more about debate and see young people from across the city engage with each other in a unique, exciting format. You will be trained prior to your first debate and a catered lunch and breakfast is provided. Interested in helping? Sign up at ms50.org/judge.
