YWA Updates- Last Week of School

Friday marks our last day of school, with an early release at 12:30 PM.

We're also hosting our annual Field Day! Students will participate in outdoor activities involving water. Please ensure your child brings:

• A towel

• A change of clothes

• An extra pair of shoes

Note: Students will get wet from head to toe. Please avoid white shirts.

More information about Field Day will be provided soon.

We will be collecting laptops from 8th and 12th-grade students this week:

• 12th Grade (Seniors): Return laptops on Monday, June 2, during senior clearance.

• 8th Grade: Return laptops on Wednesday, June 4.

Students must return:

• Laptop

• Charger

• Computer bag

STAAR and EOC scores have been released. You should have received an email from EPISD regarding your student's results. Additionally, a letter will be sent home with your student.

Students who did not pass the STAAR will be required to attend summer school. Invitations will be sent out this week.

Summer School Details:

• Middle School: June 9–13, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM

• High School: June 9–27, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM

Logistics:

• Transportation provided

• Breakfast and lunch provided

• Free dress during summer school

Our Yearbooks have arrived! We will begin distributing them on Monday- June 2nd during lunch!

June 2

• Senior Breakfast: 9:00 AM

  • Bring laptop, pay all fees, and complete graduation clearance.

  • Seniors must check in with Mrs. Conner daily and participate in the week's events.

June 3

• Senior College Signing Day: 3:00 PM in the Gym – All are invited!

• Senior Awards Ceremony: 5:30 PM, followed by dinner and sunset celebration.

• Senior Dinner for seniors and their families only!

June 4

• 8th Grade Laptop/Device PIck-up

June 5

• Campus Improvement Team (CIT) Meeting: 4:15 PM in Room B100

June 6

• Early Release: 12:30 PM

• Field Day: Whole school event

June 7

• Class of 2025 Graduation: 9:00 AM at UTEP's Magoffin Auditorium – All are invited!

June 16

• Open Gym: More information to come.

• Summer Workouts: Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday 8am to 10am

• Volleyball Open Gym: Tuesdays and Wednesdays- 10:30am to 12pm

July 30

• Back to School Fiesta: 4:00 PM–7:00 PM
