Brief Message from the Principal
Today is the last day of the first quarter. Grades will be final today, and all grades will be accurate on TeacherEase by Tuesday. On Tuesday and Thursday each week, we offer an academic recovery hour for students who are missing assignments or need help completing work on time. This goes from 3:05 to 4:05 on Tuesday and Thursday. Reminder: For all high school classes, the first quarter grade is just a formal grade check. The semester grade is the grade that goes on their transcripts.
Parent-Teacher Conference
On Thursday, October 29, we will have our first quarter Parent-Teacher conference. That day, students will attend school until 12:00 pm. The doors will reopen to the public at 2:00 pm for Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you would like to schedule a meeting with a teacher for that evening, please email them. We ask that each parent keep conversations to five minutes or under per teacher. If you need more time, please schedule a meeting for that evening or during their plan period.
Congratulations to Harper Bestgen on advancing past districts and onto State Golf. At the bottom of this newsletter is a link that contains information about your district’s participation in the Missouri School Climate and Culture.
Middle School Fall Dance
Wednesday, October 28, 3:00 - 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. There will be a DJ, snacks, and drinks provided. If you are a parent of a middle school student, please follow Tipton Champs on Facebook. Tipton Champs, similar to elementary PTO, provides opportunities for our middle school students.
Reminder: cell phones, smartwatches, and all personal electronic devices remain prohibited from the time students enter the building in the morning until 3:00 PM. Students who had cell phones or any personal electronic devices were required to keep them stored in their bags and ensure they were not visible during the school day

FFA - State Grasslands Competition
The FFA Grasslands team competed at FFA State and placed 9th overall earning them a trip to Nationals.
Wells - English 1
English 1 students break down prepositional phrases and explain how they modify other words in a sentence.
Cadet Teaching
High school students participate in cadet teaching. This gives them opportunities to earn tutoring hours and develop great leadership skills.
